African Origin Travels and Sports Tourism has congratulated the newly elected officers of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC).

A statement signed by Samson Deen, Chief Executive of the company described the election of the new officers as victory for Ghana sports.

“I on behalf of my company wish to congratulate the newly-elected executive board of the GOC.

“You have made us all proud and I strongly believe the International Olympic Committee (IOC) after banning us would now be proud of us.” The Statement noted.

The statement said, the election has also brought peace to the GOC front and would provide an opportunity for Ghanaian athletes to prepare adequately for the 2012 Olympic Games.

The statement added that the election was an ample testimony that Ghana has come of age in terms of democracy and alleviates the fear of many who hitherto the elections thought otherwise.



“It is our hope that the Professor Francis Dodoo led GOC would steer Ghana sports to another level”. The Statement added.



The GOC last Saturday held a marathon elective Congress which saw Professor Dodoo, emerged the president of the GOC.
