Swaziland music fest sparks tension


Ghana Music Awards 2011 Hip-Hop Song of the Year award winner at the just ended Ghana Music Awards, D Black would kick start his long anticipated “Yes Boss Tour” this Easter Friday from Kwahu with partner in crime "Dr. Cryme" who put up a spectacular performance at the 12th Annual GMAs, alongside Dee Moneey, Sarkodie, Stay Jay, Ayigbe Edem, Efya,Yaa Pono,Bra Kevin, J Town and a host of Ghana’s most sought after artistes.

Ghana’s afro-pop rap music icon, Gyedu-Blay Ambolley, has declared his intention to contest the presidency of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA). The election is slated for August this year.

Gyedu-Blay Ambolley, who is popularly referred to as Ghana's first rap artiste due to his fast-paced style of highlife that started in the 1970's, has several albums and hits songs including ‘Onam Daadzie’ and ‘Simigwado’, to his credit.
